Recent Project Experience

Parking Solutions
Yes a need to provide a complete solution to a major parking operator saw PMDA engaged in a 2 year project
I was engaged to provide project management and to train as a technical service person. On arrival there was a noticable lack of direction and back office operations missing. My time was spent covering site visits, quoting, customer liasons and parts ordering and stock control.

Optus 'YES'

I was engaged at Optus Core Networks Deployment (CND). My roll here was Logisitcs for CND on the BIG FOOT project. To find missing orders and individual material items and to liase with the Design team to forecast future material requirments.

Within 3 months there was a need to pre order consumables materials and this was added to my daily task list. Finally I was given the control over the DC power, Air Conditioning and Structural Audit and design which also included placing PO's. Technical advice was given to the Project Managers throughout.

Telstra Next Generation

Kordia (AAPCS) were one of many companies to provide resources for this project. I was engaged as a 'site controller'. I provide control over installation teams, materials and equipment. The area that was assigned to me was ACT and the Riverina. Logistics played a large part in this roll as well as controlling sub-contractors. My total time at Kordia was a fixed 3mth contract.

West Morton Health Area – Networked PABX – Project Manager

I was engaged as a Project Manager, and successfully installed seven networked PABX’s within the West Morton Health area.

Unique logistics were encountered in this project – all systems were approximately 100km apart, except the two systems in Ipswich, and all but one system was installed within an Emergency ward of an operational hospital. The largest was a 700 extension change-out, which had to coincide with the quietest time for the emergency ward.

Due to a planned change-out, the project was completed with minimal time down time for the emergency ward, and with high client satisfaction.

Commonwealth Bank – Disaster Recovery Site – Project Manager

I was engaged to manage the delivery of a 521-seat disaster recovery centre.   Along with the Project Management, I contributed to the general telephony design plus the call centre design and implementation.

The Project schedule was reduced from the initial 3 month period to three weeks. I managed a full-time technical team of three staff, with additional services required during the design stage.

The project team completed the project enabling the client to go-live with the solution within the three weeks. The project was declared to be a great success and achievement by CBA.

ADI – New PABX and Cordless phone system – Project Manager

I was engaged to manage the delivery of a 1000 extension PABX. The PABX incorporated a cordless coverage area of Garden Island.

I personally completed and signed off a survey of the entire island. The project was completed within time and on budget.

Hutchison 3G Network – Program Manager

I was engaged to manage the delivery of a $36M upgrade to the existing Hutchison Network. The scope involved the redesign of microwave traffic, fibre connections, updated documentation and management of Hutchison staff and contractors.

OH&S, including rules of attendance, were a high concern area for Hutchison, and I successfully managed these and achieved a high client satisfaction rating.

Catholic Education Office – Project Manager

I took over a project to complete a major rollout of a 2Mbit WAN to 80 schools. I redesigned the project plan and managed three major subcontractors (Telstra; Soul Pattison Telecommunications; EDC implementation partner).

The technology and services were new to the clients, and I navigated them through the project with open and effective communication.

Catholic Education Office – Project Manager

I managed the design and relocation of the Data Centre to a Tier organized Service Provider (SPT). The scope included facilities management, cabling, power and subcontractor management services.

I completed this project under budget and within the specified timeframe, and achieved a high client satisfaction rating.

Reuters – Program Manager

Reuters is migrating multiple clients to a digital service and I was engaged to manage a program to decommission their analogue satellite dishes.   The scope included facilities management, cabling, power and subcontractor management services.

The satellite dishes were on various rooftops in the Sydney and Melbourne central business districts, and involved complex planning with sensitive OH&S requirements.

I have managed multiple projects without incident, and with high client satisfaction.
